Tinera noticed a women dressed in black edging her way through the packed crowd. What is Giuseppina doing? Why is she pushing her way towards the front. “Oh no, she’s got a knife and is going to kill him,” Tinera shouted. Tinera grabbed the closest person in front of her pulling hard at his shoulder. “Stop her. She’s going to kill him!” …He gave Tinera a push and said, “Good! He deserves it. Good riddance to a murderer.” Tinera pushed him back and said, “You’re a coward. He's a hero and no one knows it.” …
Realizing he wasn’t going to help her, she shoved and pushed her way through people massed in the middle of the church isle. She stood on tiptoes to see if she could spot the tall lady in black. … Tinera’s heart skipped a beat, her stomach ached as she noticed Giuseppina now only a few paces from the front of the church. … The crowd parted momentarily and Tinera was able to see that Giuseppina held the knife in her right hand behind her back.
“Dio mio don’t let her use that knife.”
